The Holly Hospital – Healthcare

Davis Construction was appointed to carry out this £1million project to update The Holly Hospital’s facilities with a new MRI suite that reflected the high standard of healthcare services they provide.

The specialist works on The Holly to deliver a new MRI suite were carried out in a live hospital environment. This meant that every element of the project needed to be carefully controlled to ensure minimal disruption to patients and staff.

The work to deliver the new suite began with the removal of the existing MRI unit. To aid this removal and the installation of the new unit, we were required to temporarily remove and support the front wall of the hospital.

Following this, the existing copper cage was removed and the old floor screed. We then re-levelled the floor with structural screed before installing the new stainless-steel cage to shield patients outside the area while the machine was in operation.

We continued the work by installing systems for medical gases and nurse calling, as well as completing all electrical and decorative aspects of the project. This included power, LED lighting, and a suspended ceiling and flooring, all to the high standard that Davis Construction is renowned for deliverying, all completed on time and within budget.
