Here at Davis, the feedback and comments we receive from our clients on projects completed and ongoing are important to us. We come together as team to produce a high standard of work under an ethic that represents our core values as people. The comments of our clients drive us to deliver building solutions that are innovative and forward thinking.

Over the past couple of months, we have had many successes in new, completed and ongoing projects progressing well and on schedule. To name a few, we have taken on a new Educational project at Chase High School in Westcliff, completed a Residential conversion project at Essex House in Colchester, and we continue to work on our build project; The Mar Thoma Centre on the outskirts of London.

We take an opportunity to reflect on the testimonials we have received to date, to reflect on the successes and also continue to develop ways to maintain and improve an exceptional service working alongside developers and architects.

Our Chase High project comprises of the building of a new three-storey classroom block, refurbishment of the science areas, the main reception and redevelopment of the external playground, netball courts and car park. To date, the project has been running for 12 weeks, and since being on site we have hosted a ceremonial ground breaking, and had our Site Manager receive a status of Excellence on exceeding industry standards on the most recent Health and Safety Report issued by Ingleton Wood.

The project is running well, so much so that local MP Sir David Amess attended the school when we first commenced site set up and held the ceremonious ground breaking. Sir David said “I am delighted to attend. The building will be a great asset to the school but more importantly, it will provide a fresh environment and extra space in which our children can learn. I would like to commend the work of everyone involved in this project and I join with the school’s staff and students in looking forward to its completion in 2020.”

It is an asset to have representatives of the local community involved in our projects. As a company we aim to enhance the surrounding areas and those living nearby, consciously considering the social value a new project brings.

Essex House completed in July and took a total of 34 weeks. The conversion of the existing four storey commercial office building into residential modern accommodation gave the client a portfolio of contemporary one and two bedroom apartments. During this project we also carried out associated works on the communal areas, parking and essentially delivered the complete fit out with all M&E works.

Phil Burr, Director of EquaGroup on reflection of the completed project said “Davis Construction were engaged on a traditional basis to complete the redevelopment of Essex House, Colchester into 26 apartments and 2 retail units. The completed end product is of exceptional quality and the build was completed in a thoroughly professional manner. We look forward to working with the team again in the near future.”

A professional manor is an attribute we live by in our day to day work, and we pride ourselves on the conveying of this value.  This strong partnership will no doubt blossom and we enjoyed working alongside Equa to deliver these luxury apartments which are now marketed for sale. https://williamhbrown.co.uk/houses-for-sale/property-details/CCS115938

Finally, we have our current project Mar Thoma. Works at The Mar Thoma Centre commenced 23 weeks ago. Having begun in March, the works focus on the build of a religious projects centre and is progressing well. In the coming weeks we look forward to our upcoming Topping Out Ceremony, where we will invite key members of the project and members of the church to commemorate this traditional milestone.

Client Sibu Thomas commented on the standard of work that is currently ongoing; he said “I feel privileged to be working closely on this project representing Mar Thoma Church. Davis and the team have been excellent in getting this challenging project to this stage. I express a special mention to those who manage the project on a daily basis. Well done, keep going and God Bless!” We look forward to topping out and sharing this moment with those that the build means so much to.

Our testimonials are important to us. We draw from the feedback and encourage our clients to aid us in our innovation. By giving us honest and reliable feedback we continue to deliver timely builds, conversions and renovations representative of our values to work safely with effective communication, respect and a team driven approach.
